The Calico Cat is a small fabric & quilting supply shop located near the shores of

Chautauqua Lake in Lakewood, NY.  The shop was established in 1981 and stocks

a variety of notions, sewing machine parts, books, patterns, and of course, fabrics. 

In addition, we are an authorized Bernina location, offering Bernina sewing

machines, Bernina parts and accessories, classes and maintenance services. 

We offer a variety of quilting & sewing classes in our classroom, taught by a number

of talented local teachers sharing their skills, expertise, wisdom & humor.

In January, 2006, we moved from the original shop to our new location, at 4451 West

Fairmount Avenue in Lakewood.  We actually only moved 4/10 of a mile west of

the old shop, into a small sandstone house.  We have a beautiful knotty pine classroom,

plenty of space for our inventory, a much improved parking lot & a handicapped

accessible entrance.
